Why choose Us
Franco-Anglaise International School recognises that intelligence can take many forms and a curriculum should allow for these, both in its content and teaching methods. As such we offer programmes that allow pupils to develop their talents to the full. The school offers the British National Curriculum key stage system progressing to Vocational BTECs, IGCSEs and A-Levels accredited by EDEXCEL. We also have students who are following the CNED systems, working towards achieving an International Baccalaureate.
The school welcomes children of all ages and nationalities and has supported students with distant learning programmes from all over the world. We are able to do this because we develop and support students’ individualised programmes. Students are provided with all the tools needed to achieve international qualifications that are accepted throughout the world for University entrance or for direct entry into employment.
Dyslexia, behavioural and other learning difficulties.
Some students find development of literacy skills to be a long and frustrating process. From Middle School onwards these are precisely the skills that students are expected to use for learning and expressing what they know and understand. Classroom and homework activities rely heavily on the effective use of these skills, which dyslexic students or students with learning difficulties are still struggling to build and master.
As time passes the discrepancy between curriculum expectation and students’ ability widens. For some students school can become a frustrating and negative experience, which in turn lowers self-esteem, confidence and motivation. Changes in behaviour may affect relationships with peer groups and family members.
The School Day
The school day begins at 9.00am and ends at 4.00pm with one hour for lunch. Wednesday morning are dedicated to art and drama from 9am to 12pm. Lunches are 5 euros per day and are freshly cooked on the premises daily. Special dieatary needs are catered for.
Each student has their own timetable and individualised programme. Topics are broken down into manageable chunks. Targets are set on a daily basis so that the student has a clear achievable structure to follow.
