Summer Activities for Teens age 13+

Every morning English for Anglophones, improve writing skills, spelling and grammar with fun topics.  From 10.00am to 12.30pm 80 euros per week. 

Week 1 – 5th-9^th July – be a journalist.  Review and write an article about the latest game, film, computer or mobile phone.  What is your passion?  Tell the world about it!

Week 2 – 12^th-16^th July – sports mad? Take your favourite sport or players and create poster or leaflets to let everyone know.

Week 3 – 19^th -23rd July – fashion your passion?  What is on the catwalk?  What works and what fails?  Put together your own design ideas to show how it should be done.

Week 4 – 26^th – 30^th July – like to tell a story?  Create story boards and learn how to develop a plot or character.  Maybe you want to write television programmes or films?  Get an insight into how it is done.

Week 5 – 2^nd – 6^th August – Fast cars and planes.  Research and review the latest creation.  Who is driving what?  Which make and model in your opinion is the best? 

Week 6 – 9^th – 13^th August – convinced MAC computers are the best?  Hate Windows 7?  Voice your opinion and win your argument. 

Afternoon Craft Club for Teens age 13+

Every afternoon 14.00pm to 16.30pm learn to sew, knit or crochet  -  80 euros per week plus 10 euros towards materials.  All materials will be available however if you want to use your own and have a project in mind that is fine. 

Week 1 – 5th -9^th July – Basic sewing techniques.  Make a bag or your fist piece of clothing. 

Week 2 – 12^th-16^th – Learn to knit.  Create a bag or a hat in one week using the basics techniques of this craft!

Week 3 – 19^th -23rd July – crochet.  Learn the first steps on your way to create unique clothing and accessories. 

Week 4 – 26^th – 30^th July – Tie dye or hand paint a T-shirt.  Create your own unique design and maybe start a new fashion!

Week 5 – 2^nd – 6^th August – cross stitch and embroidery.  Enjoy this creative and therapeutic activity and create your own works of art.

Week 6 – 9^th – 13^th August – want to investigate a career using needlework?  Try dressmaking, curtains, soft furnishing, and upholstery. Research what a designer, cutter or seamstress does?  Look at the different industries such as file, television or being a freelance Interior designer.
